The idea is for all teams to play against each other once, but to make things a bit easier for everyone, we may play more than one game in a day.
The format is to be very simple, with 9 players per team, bowling 12 overs each.
As things stand, the fixtures are listed below.
Note that we are hosting all six teams on 1st July, and the first games start at 11:00am so it would be good if we could meet up in time for that.
Sunday 1st July Home Bris v Claverham 1:00pm
Sunday 1st July Home Bris v WSM 3:00pm
Sunday 15th July Bath Bris v Bath 1:00pm
Sunday 29th July WSM Bris v Nailsea 11:00am
Sunday 29th July WSM Bris v Beckington 1:00pm
There are actually two mini leagues over the course of the summer.
We are playing in the North Somerset section, but there is also a South Somerset league with five teams.
There will be a finals day at Wembdon Cricket Club on Sunday 5th August.8th July.
The top two teams from each league will compete against each other to determine the overall champions.
Note however, that this is the day of our festival to celebrate the club’s 150th year.
Although all of our current fixtures are organised through Somerset County Cricket, I have also registered an interest in playing structured friendly matches against local teams within the Gloucestershire County set up.
Nothing confirmed as yet, but there may be opportunities for more matches if there is enough support.
Please let me know if you are interested in playing in any of the above fixtures, and also if you would like me to try and organise additional friendly matches.
