I entered a team in last night's quiz only to find that Steve and Sally Whitemore together with Jane Peters were the only other members to attend which resulting in the event having to be cancelled.
This was extremely disappointing especially for Rachel and Penny who had worked very hard to organise the quiz as well preparing food and I would like to thank them both on behalf of the club for all their efforts.
Not sure why this happened but perhaps word of mouth is sometimes better in informing people of social events when you get a definite answer as well as relying on social media or Pitchero.
However, it is essential that all members appreciate the need to support any of these social events, especially in the winter months, when income to the club is minimal but overheads still have to be paid.
I hope we can persuade Penny and Rachel to hold another quiz in the future and with plenty publicity the event will be fully supported.
