The Sunday 2's got off to a winning start with a victory over Purnells who like Brislington fielded a young side, due to rain the game underway at 2:45 and was reduced to 35 overs per side, Brislington were put into bat under dark sky's and lost an early wicket but Andy Maule and Will Scott scoring 20 and 21 respectively steadied the ship before Neil Peacock hit a rapid 34 the side were then 129 for 6 A thunderstorm then hit the ground prompting an early tea, the innings was completed after tea with a 93 run partnership between Nick (60) & Matt (53) Henley.
Steady bowling from Will Scot was followed by 2 wickets for Ethan Maule, Matt Henley and young Harrison Peacock which turned the game Brislingtons way despite a swashbuckling 59 from Purnells Captain.
